About The Book
A Narrative Rewritten is a collection of Michaia’s poems, reflections, letters and blog entries that touch on the topics of hurt, healing and hope around sexual abuse and incest. These writings are formatted to guide the reader through the dredges of hurt into the light of a healing, hopeful heart. This book was written to help other survivors not feel as alone.
About The Author
Michaia Walker proudly identifies as Black, Queer, Non-binary, Neurodivergent and works as a LCSW in New York. Michaia owns their own private practice and offers therapy and consulting/coaching services to individuals and couples/those in non-traditional relationship dynamics (including poly, kink and BDSM) Michaia works closely with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community as a signing therapist. They identify as an advocate for the QBIPOC and Disability communities. In addition to being a psychotherapist, Michaia is an avid reader, creative writer, cat parent to two “grandpa kitties”, and Zazu/Rama/T to the most amazing niblings.
